Day 30

Good morning and here’s day #30 -obviously had to add a dark background or you wouldn’t see any daisies!

Monday 29 April 2019

Day 29

Day 29 and tortoiseshell  for my #100dayproject and starting to see more butterflies on the farm recently... the oilseed rape is in full bloom, maybe they like that?

Day 28

Day 28 of #100dayproject and it’s the red campion today - thought we needed a bit of colour on a Monday morning ! We call these plum pudding what do you call them?

Day 27

Day 27 of my #100dayproject and today it’s crow time. For all that have been following me, I have crows on my river walk (not on farm) that come when I call them. I’m currently trying to “train” one on the farm. He does come up into the horse chestnut tree but he’s still very wary.

Saturday 27 April 2019

Day 26

Day 26 of my #100dayproject and seeing I’m already over a quarter of the way through ... I’d better start thinking about the landscape I’m putting my animals into!! People might recognise this view from a few of my live feed walks around the farm on Instagram.

Friday 26 April 2019

Day 25

A quarter of the way through my #100dayproject and nearly forgot to post it today. We have badgers on the farm and when the cherries are out in summer they’re very brave and come out in daylight. They make a right mess of the garden though!

Wednesday 24 April 2019

Day 24

Good morning and here’s #24 of my #100dayproject - did you know that a group of ladybirds is called a loveliness of ladybirds 🐞 how cute is that!! Well we have a whole load of loveliness on the farm and in lots of different varieties- I’m sure I’ll be doing a few more illustrations!

Tuesday 23 April 2019

Day 21

Day 21. and it’s Ferdinand’s lady friend the hen pheasant. Have a great week ahead.

Day 20

And here’s my day #20 of my 100 day challenge. Hares are very special to me, they make me remember my Dad and now also my Mum. So this one is especially for them this Easter. It’s not  quite an Easter bunny (but almost) for you!

Friday 19 April 2019

Day 19

I plenty of these on the farm yesterday in the fog. I always keep an eye out for them when I’m driving back late at night, as the often surprise you by leaping through the hedges.

Day 18

We have a cute pair of partridge here on the farm, hoping to see some little ones running about.

Thursday 18 April 2019

Day 17

Day 17 and we have plenty of these great tits on the feeder today at the farm. They’re one of the regulars until the squirrel turns up!

Wednesday 17 April 2019

Day 16

There are  plenty of little bunnies about at the moment ... not great for the crops but still cute.

Monday 15 April 2019

Day 15

The humble dandelion and we have plenty of these! But when you get a carpet of them they can look amazing.

Day 14

Here’s the little chaffinch that peep peeps when it finds the food I put out . It chirps outside the window I work from . Freelancing at the farm isn’t too bad at all.

Saturday 13 April 2019

Day 13

#13 - Peggles or cowslips -either way one of my favourites

Day 12

#12 of my 100 day project and here’s a little blue tit. They like to eat peanuts from the feeders outside the farm kitchen window.

Buzzards - we have quite a few of these but never it seems when I have my camera with me !!

Sunday 7 April 2019

Day 7

I spotted some wild primroses under the mulberry tree - they were one of my Mum’s favourites. I wanted to included them before they all disappear. They always remind me of Easter time.

Saturday 6 April 2019

Day 6

I’ve not seen this little owl for quite a while,
but yesterday it popped up lots of times on the barn roof. I’m hoping he’s looking at nesting in the barn eaves again. I’m really enjoying this 100 day project so far but 100 is a lot of drawing!

Day 5

lets hope I don’t find too many more of these! Banded snails rock a good stripe though don’t you think? ... I love stripes!

Thursday 4 April 2019

Day 4

Good morning and here’s day #4 of my 100 day project. Today I’m introducing Sid who usually rocks up around 3 pm to raid the bird food. (That’s when he’s not hanging from the kitchen window bird feeders). Cheeky. I’m doing this project so I really appreciate how lucky I am to live somewhere like this and share it with you.

Tuesday 2 April 2019

The 100 day challenge

So I’ve decided to take part in the Instagram #100dayproject

My aim is to draw something living I’ve seen on the farm for 100 days (flora and fauna) and to join the final pieces into one complete artwork....so watch this space!

Here’s Ferdinand our resident friendly pheasant.
